Abstract

At the FIP General Assembly held in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 2012, the Seoul General Assembly was all over in five years. Of the more than 30 countries in the Western Pacific region, there are no more than 10 countries with well-organized pharmacy associations. The reason why the government and social organizations listen to the claims of the pharmacy association is because the pharmacy association is not a simple profit group but an important functional group and expert group. And FIP is a coalition of pharmacists / pharmaceutical science groups around the world. Korea, the Pharmacy Society and the Pharmacy Society are members of the FIP, respectively, and a total of 139 organizations worldwide are members of the FIP. The role of pharmacists in our 100-year-old era is challenged by many changes and challenges, and it is very important for WHO and FIP that these new roles are settled efficiently at the global level. It is the FIP General Assembly where we can share many things we need to learn about these activities, and this FIP General Assembly was held in Seoul, Korea. As a high-level pharmacists and top-notch pharmacists, I think that now, as a global citizen, it is a driving force and opportunity to become a world-class pharmacist and a pharmacist who teaches happily. It would be more meaningful to wait for the FIP Seoul General Assembly's effectiveness and performance rather than to express it hastily, leaving the next generation to evaluate it.
