Abstract

Background: The household medicine is always ready to be used at any time, but it is changing from its original meaning. The purpose of this survey was to analysis the medication attitude of consumer was affected by medication guidance of pharmacist or the type of health communication between pharmacist and consumer in order to increase patient's compliance and wellness in Korea. Methods: The study was conducted 230 people by survey from January 12, 2018 to March 10, 2018. And the results of the survey were analyzed through statistical program. Results: Surveys identified enabling factors that contributed to successful implementation of medication compliance and attitude in customer. There were customer awareness of medication guidance and medication guidance by pharmacist. In correlation analysis between health communication and medication attitude, it is confirmed that supportive health communication has more influence on consumers' positive medication attitude than control type. Discussion: Pharmacist have proven to be important role in customer's medication. The government withdrew the expansion of convenience store items, pharmacists should use the easy medication guidance term. Henceforth, it is necessary to introduce health communication education of pharmacist as well as university curriculum to reduce the social emotion distance between consumers and pharmacists
